The goal of this piece was to promote a guitar music festival
at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland Oregon. It was important
that this piece be colorful and attention grabbing.
In creating this piece I felt a colorful digital illustration
was needed to catch the eye. I used elements of a guitar to
put this illustration together.
The end result was a colorful advertisement that promoted
the guitar music festival in an attention grabbing way.

This illustration is to be used in a poster
promoting an event called Space Day at the Oregon Museum of
Science Industry (OMSI).
It was important to gear the poster to the target audience,
which was primarily kids from ages 8 to 13. I felt that a
colorful illustration would be attractive to kids and adults.
The final illustration is not only succesful in color, but
also in dynamic in subject matter.

The object of this piece was to illustrate OMSI's
architecture in my own style while keeping it a recognizable
building.
Without a specific target audience, I was left with an open
project that allowed me to to approach this piece most comfortable
to me.
The result of this piece is an illustration that demonstrates
my ability to digitally paint an interesting composition.

This is another architectural piece of OMSI that I illustrated. Again, the point here was
to illustrate OMSI's intersting architecture and keep the building recognizable.
Again, I had no audience to target this illustration to, so I had more freedom in what I did. My point in this piece
was to do a photorealistic illustration while keeping the sense that it is an illustration.
The end result is an illustration that is compositionally
interesting, and recognizable as a photorealisic piece. |
